Delta Youth Choir is looking for new members to join
The Delta Youth choir is part of the Delta Choral Society and it is a non-profit organization.
The choir provides teens with the opportunity to cultivate an appreciation for music and share their talents with the community. The Delta youth choir will teach their members proper singing techniques and encourage them to explore their love of music in a fun but structured environment.
The Delta Youth choir will perform a selection of songs from traditional choral music to current pop music hits. They will perform at the Delta Choral Society’s end of term concert (May and December) held at South Delta Baptist Church.
All teens from Grade 5 and up are welcome to join the choir.
Both the choir will begin rehearsal at 6:00 pm every Tuesday and the practice will finish at 6:55 pm.
Children joining the choir must commit to attending the tech rehearsal and both performances at the end of term concert. Children who miss more than two rehearsals or tech rehearsal will not be allowed to perform at the concert. Exceptional cases will require approval from the Musical Director.
How to join the choir
If you would like to join, learn about the next registration date on the new member page. New members can join in September and January. The rehearsals are held at the South Delta Senior Secondary, in the music room, located at 750 53 St, Delta, BC V4M 3B7 in Tsawwassen. Member fees are $60 per term and cover the costs of the music, training and shirt for performance.
